So what exactly is SOC 2 Type 2, and why does it matter?

SOC 2 is a widely recognized standard developed by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). It evaluates how well a company protects customer data based on a set of trust criteria. Our attestation covers four of these: Security, Availability, Confidentiality and Privacy. These reflect the areas most critical to how we operate and serve our customers. 

There are two levels of SOC 2 compliance: 

• Type 1 validates that controls exist at a single point in time. 

• Type 2 goes further. It confirms that those controls are effective and consistently followed over a period of several months. 

That’s what makes this such a meaningful achievement. It’s not just about setting up the right protections. It’s about living them every day.
