Three of the seven questions worth asking

An hour now saves a year on the wrong platform

Filling the gap is the easy part

The first job is obvious. Restore the SaaS management you relied on. But the options on your shortlist pull in different directions. Some focus on rebuilding the SaaS layer. Others arrive with a platform ecosystem far bigger than the problem you came to solve.

Xensam is a third option. Strong SaaS management. Visibility across the rest of your software estate. Value in weeks, without a platform program to get there.

You can replace what Productiv did for you and stop there. The rest is available when you need it, not a project you have to take on now.

Xensam is Swedish, independent, and built to compete with far bigger names. Better technology doesn’t always come from the biggest platform.

What our customers say

What you’re probably wondering

Q: What happened to Productiv?

Productiv, a US-based SaaS management platform, ended customer access on August 5, 2026, and ceased operations on August 6, 2026. Before shutting down, the company entered an assignment for the benefit of creditors (ABC), a wind-down process under state law. Productiv states that it destroyed all production systems, data stores, and backups, and kept no customer data. Former customers need a Productiv replacement and a new software inventory and usage baseline.

Q: What should I look for in a Productiv replacement?

Start with the capabilities you need to restore: SaaS discovery, usage intelligence, spend visibility, contracts and renewals, and license optimization. Then test what the replacement can improve. How fast does it deliver usable data? How does it measure usage? Does it see software beyond SaaS? How well does it feed the systems you already run, such as ServiceNow? And if you relied on Productiv for app requests, approvals, or provisioning, where will those workflows live now?

Q: Can Xensam replace Productiv?

Yes, for organizations that used Productiv mainly for SaaS discovery, usage intelligence, spend visibility, contracts and renewals, and license optimization. Xensam covers those core requirements and extends visibility to on-premises and cloud software. Productiv also offered workflow capabilities such as app requests, approvals, and provisioning. If you depended on those, map them against Xensam and your existing systems, such as ServiceNow or your identity platform, as part of your evaluation. We’ll do that with you, item by item, and tell you where each one lands. If something lands nowhere, you should know before you sign, not after.

Q: How quickly can Xensam deliver value?

Most Xensam customers are up and running within days, without a long implementation project or external consultants. Timelines depend on the environment. Naviair deployed agents across servers and clients in one week. Viking Line completed deployment across ships and land-based sites in under three weeks, with no dedicated implementation project. After that time the system had populated and they came back to data they could act on. A US environmental engineering firm avoided $50,000 to $100,000 in software costs after its initial implementation.

Q: Does Xensam only manage SaaS?

No. Xensam manages SaaS alongside on-premises and cloud software. Its recognition library covers more than 600,000 applications, including more than 140,000 SaaS and web applications and more than 26,000 AI applications.

Q: Can Xensam work with ServiceNow?

Yes. Xensam DataBridge includes a ServiceNow connector that feeds normalized software data into the ServiceNow CMDB, keeping configuration data current without manual uploads. Organizations keep their ServiceNow investment and improve the software data it runs on.

Q: Where does Xensam host customer data?

Customer data is hosted in the region you choose, including the United States for organizations whose data must stay there. Xensam runs on UpCloud infrastructure, with data centers in the US, Europe, and Asia-Pacific.

Q: Is Xensam secure?

Xensam is SOC 2 Type II certified, covering security, availability, confidentiality, and privacy.
